Hoola-Fit Multi-Level Classes

Hoola-Fit, an innovative hoop dance exercise class founded by Abby Albaum and Casandra Tanenbaum, combines cutting-edge hoop dance techniques with a variety of efficient drills and concepts to promote maximum health and wellness benefits.  Classes are open to all students, regardless of experience/ level and are  intended for those interested in getting a great workout while moving freely with a professional hoola hoop.  Classes are open to drop-ins and no experience is necessary.  Just come with a smile and positive attitude!  We will cover a variety of drills, techniques and concepts so students may progress at their own pace.  Hoop enthusiasts are encouraged to take their skills to the next level while developing their own unique style and grace within the circle.  Bi-directional movement (hooping in both directions) will be a standard in this class, along with fusing different forms of dance with trick-based hoop technique. Hoops are provided for each class or you may bring your own.

Multi-Level Class Format

We will equally explore on-body and off-body trick execution, as well as seamless transitions.  Flow practice is also an intregal part of this class.  Novice hoopers will have no trouble getting into their groove and learning foundational moves at their own pace.  Advanced variations will be provided for students who are looking to take their skills to the next level and challenge themselves in new and exciting ways.  Group activities will enable students to explore new moves and “putting it all together” while free form dance promotes creative expression.  Technical drills will encourage students to push their comfort zones and progress at their own pace.  Multi-level classes are open to drop-ins, and all levels are welcome.
